I have been coding for well over a decade and the whole reason I started even learning was to make games. After years of working freelance and professionally developing apps I started my own business Perley Automation. We focused on automation and implementation of AI for small business. I have developed AI, from basic Perceptrons to GPT style bots. From scratch in many cases. Since meeting my fiance, we have been running a new company together Hooley Automation (so original lol). We started a small scale manufacturing service using the automation systems I had built previously. Our little living room enterprise turned into a multi printer operation. After playing around in Blender again after years, everything fell back into place.
I have been working on my Game Engine which is project named Pixel Forge (Engine_lib). A 2D engine designed for large scale worlds and thousands of events happening simultaneously. I have released a large part of the framework I have been coding, while my own editor is still under development I decided to hop back into Unity and tinker. Some of our little characters were imported into some scenes and then we started ACTUALLY thinking.
Me and my fiance were playing with some game ideas and concepts. Building out new mechanics. Highly inspired by the unique indie dev scene that has grown since 2017. With games like Ravenfield, Rising Front, Total Conflict Resistance and Vietnam War, I feel like this is the time to finally tackle my own ambitions.
My biggest inspirations are RTS, RTT and wargaming. Shooters and RPG's are a close second and third for me. Always interested in collaboration. Looking to get into some Game Jams. Reach out if you would like to connect!
